No more links...? Soon

Hi all, I'm sorry for posting mostly links and not blogging anything for a while. I've been in Colombia for a couple of weeks and my connection has been pretty slow (actually, I'm 'borrowing' a neighbor's unprotected wireless network, and I have to find odd places and corners in my house where I get weak reception). I look forward to posting some of the pictures I've taken and to blog more often, I'll be back on June 5th.

In the mean time, take a look at this cartoon

Turning History Around?

In 1492,
AN AZTEC SAILOR
NAMED NOCTLI
EUROPZIN TEZPOCA
DEPARTED FROM THE
PORT OF MINATITLAN
with a small flotilla of
wooden rafts. 3 months later
HE DISCOVERED A NEW
CONTINENT AND NAMED IT
EUROPZIN AFTER HIMSELF.
In November 1512, the
OMNI-POTENT AZTECS BEGAN
THE CONQUEST OF EUROPZIN
IN THE NAME OF THY FATHER
TEZCATLIPOCA, LORD OF THE CROSS-
CULTURAL MISUNDERSTANDINGS
y entonces el desmadre se comenzo a multiplicar
logo-rythmically and logo-aritmicamente.

Pretty funny stuff eh?

Relax, you're not fat. It's just the stupid label

Well, since the last thing I posted here was # 3 of the "most emailed articles" in the Boston Globe (with 220 hits), I had to check what the # 1 most emailed article (which has been sent 1090 times) was all about. It's interesting....at least it explains a lot of the whining of some friends and aquaintances when they complain about their freaking growing waist size. However, it is pretty pathetic that an article about shrinking waist sizes has caused 5 times more interest than an article reporting how the country's president dictates his own interpretation of the law. Anyways, here it is.
